Closing in...
Dark green/grey walls of sadness...
A life behind a monitor...
"And I'll lie about colors and names and genders and thought."
He never thought to himself.
"And I'll waste away here all alone with my lies around my neck and my fear at my ankles."
He never suspected.
And the black rain fell on her, the rain she always loved...
And maybe this was a lie too...
Maybe he was happier in the sun...
It was too late for him to know for sure.
Too late for anyone else to care.
And while he would never know...
He understood.
And this hurt him the most.

i like
the way you use...
dialogue
(:
if that makes sense.
i mean, the words in the ""
do people actually consciously decide
"to waste away"?
i like the concept
and i feel like leaving you a long comment
I'm glad you liked this poem.
It was a strange one to write.
